The Campaign for Learning 'Story Power' Conference

I’m so exited to have been invited to run a session talking about the power of reading together and discussing my upcoming book “Unplugged Tots.”

I will be spending the day learning how storytelling, sharing stories and reading can inform and enrich family learning practice, activities and programmes by exploring themes such as:

• boosting well-being and relationships by reading together for pleasure
• optimising learning and engagement by reading together
• learning maths, science or other subjects through storytelling
• diffusing difficult situations or talking about challenging topics through storytelling
• dialogic learning and co-creating stories
• using props and multisensory resources in story building
• identity and culture formation
• what do stories do: storytelling and cognition
