Unplugged Tots Book promotion on Boing Boing

Mark Frauenfelder recently shared his thoughts on Unplugged Tots in a wonderful article, highlighting how the book introduces coding concepts to children as young as two and a half through comics, storytelling, and everyday craft items.

He points out that each chapter covers key ideas like pattern recognition, algorithms, sequencing, logic, and mapping — all through simple, engaging activities that parents and children can do together. You can read Mark’s full article here.

Referencing Mark’s piece also makes me reflect on the universality of this approach. Just as he notes, the book sprang from a personal moment of clarity as a parent, and that experience shaped the mission behind Unplugged Tots: to help children thrive in a digital world, equipped with confidence, curiosity, and foundational thinking skills.

Mark was Editor of Unplugged Tots and working with him and his knowledge was unbelievable. I was really honoured to work with him.
