To equip our children with the skills they’ll need for their digital future, Unplugged Tots activities introduce:

  • Algorithms - following a set of rules

  • Sequencing - following the algorithm in a particular order

  • Logic - working out reasoning

  • Pattern recognition - working out any repeating patterns

  • Deconstruction – breaking down problems into smaller easier to manage chunks

  • Resilience and debugging – fostering a growth mindset when facing problems and working through to fix any errors

  • Maps, Navigation and Direction – using landmarks to help us get around

  • Inclusivity, Collaboration and Representation – Listening, championing and respecting EVERYONE no matter what
